The MedVet Story
MedVet was started in 1988 by Dr. William D. DeHoff. Initially, it was an opportunity to utilize space as Columbus Veterinary Emergency Services (CVES) was closed during the day. MedVet Veterinary Specialty Services (MedVet) was pleased to fill this void as Drs. John Gordon (Dermatology) and Jon Shiroma (Radiology), came aboard, drawn to the infectious synergy of Dr. DeHoff’s vision.
In 1999, Dr. Eric R. Schertel (Surgery) was compelled to leave the university. CVES and MedVet officially joined together, and the rest they say, is history.
