Maura Stevenson joined MedVet as Chief Human Resources Officer in 2017. In this role, she oversees all aspects of the Employee Experience, including talent management, compensation and benefits, leadership and employee development, and organizational development.
Prior to joining MedVet, Maura served as Vice President of Talent Management at The Wendy’s Company, accountable for key human resources processes, including talent acquisition, leadership development, training design, employee engagement, succession planning, performance management, and diversity & inclusion. Before Wendy’s, she was Vice President of Human Resources at Starbucks, leading human resource generalist responsibilities for multiple business units and functions globally. During her tenure with Starbucks, Maura also held several positions focused on leading organizational development and people analytics. Preceding her nine years with Starbucks, Maura Stevenson held several positions of increasing scope and complexity with Merrill Lynch, American Re-Insurance, and The Hartford.
Her recent honors include receiving the 2019 Columbus Smart 50 Award, which recognizes the top executives of the 50 smartest companies in the Central Ohio region for their ability to effectively build and lead successful organizations, being named an HRO Today 2021 CHRO Leader of Distinction, and receiving the 2022 OnCon ICON Award as one of the Top 10 HR Professionals in the country.
Maura also serves as an Affiliated Research Scientist at the Center for Organizational Effectiveness at USC’s Marshall School of Business. When outside of the office, Maura enjoys traveling, singing, and spending time with her husband, daughter, and May, a small mixed-breed rescue dog.
