Joe DeFulio serves as Vice President of Clinical Services with direct responsibility for overseeing the Hospital Directors in the West Region. In this role, Joe is a collaborative thought leader working in partnership with colleagues at all levels to help drive the organization forward in pursuit of the mission, Leading Specialty Healthcare for Pets.
Joe has held varying roles within the veterinary profession since 2007. He is a Credentialed Veterinary Technician, Compassion Fatigue Educator, and Certified Compassion Fatigue Professional. Prior to joining MedVet in 2016 as the Cincinnati Hospital Director, Joe DeFulio was the Practice Manager at an emergency, specialty, and general practice hospital in New Jersey. The majority of his clinical experience as a Credentialed Technician was in emergency medicine.
He is certified by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) in Animal Disaster Response. He is an active member of the Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Society (VECCS), VECCS Practice Management Committee, New Jersey Veterinary Technicians and Assistants (NJVTA), Southern Ohio Veterinary Managers Association (SOVMA), and Green Cross Academy of Traumatology.
When not working, Joe enjoys sharing knowledge through lecturing, traveling and exploring new cities, spending time with friends, and visiting his family on the East Coast.
