MacKenzie Whyte, DVM, MS, Diplomate, ACVS-SA is a Board-certified Veterinary Surgeon at MedVet Asheville. She has been a part of the MedVet team since 2023.
Dr. MacKenzie Whyte attended the Boise State University in Boise where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and Zoology with an emphasis in pre-veterinary medicine. She earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine, completing her final year at the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Veterinary Medicine. Following graduation, Dr. Whyte completed a rotating medicine and surgery internship at WestVet Boise. She then completed a surgery residency and Master of Science degree at Kansas State University.
Dr. Whyte has a special interest in thoracic surgery, as well as minimally invasive procedures. Her favorite part of practicing veterinary medicine is being an advocate for our beloved pets who cannot speak for themselves.
When not caring for patients, Dr. Whyte enjoys playing sand volleyball, cooking, and relaxing with her cats at home.
