Gwendolen Lorch, DVM, MS, PhD, Diplomate, ACVD, is a BOARD CERTIFIED VETERINARY DERMATOLOGIST® at MedVet Columbus, where she has been contributing since 2024.
Dr. Gwendolen Lorch earned a Bachelor of Science degree in biology from Tulane University. She then pursued her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree at The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine. Following veterinary school, Dr. Lorch completed a rotating medicine and surgery internship at VCA West Los Angeles. She then returned to The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine, where she completed a residency in dermatology.
Dr. Lorch has a special interest in feline and equine dermatology, as well as allergic disease. Her favorite part of practicing veterinary medicine is partnering with families to improve the quality of life of her dermatology patients.
Outside of work, Dr. Gwendolen Lorch is passionate about helping maintain and conserve the diversity of our woodlands. She also enjoys exhibiting her cats in the Cat Fanciers’ Association shows across the United States.
