Eloise Stikeman, BVMS, Diplomate, ACVIM (SAIM), is a Board-Certified Small Animal Internal Medicine Specialist at MedVet Mountain View, where she has been a part of the team since 2024. Dr. Stikeman provides Internal Medicine support to our in-hospital specialties, Emergency Medicine, Critical Care, and Surgery.
Dr. Eloise Stikeman earned her Bachelor of Science degree in zoology from the University of Toronto. She then attended Murdoch University School of Veterinary Medicine in Perth, Australia, where she earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (BVMS) degree. Following veterinary school, Dr. Stikeman completed a rotating internship at Veterinary Specialists of Connecticut. She furthered her training with a small animal internal medicine residency at the Center for Veterinary Specialty & Emergency Care in Dallas, TX. Following its completion, she moved to Los Angeles and joined a large multi-specialty hospital in Hollywood where she co-founded the Wellness Advisory Committee to advocate for the mental wellbeing in the veterinary profession and served as Medical Director for three and a half years.
Dr. Stikeman is especially interested in protein-losing enteropathies, pulmonary hypertension, and endocrine disorders. Dr. Stikeman is excited by Internal Medicine’s ability to provide a vast array of diagnostic answers for patients and their families, and has a particular interest in diagnostic imaging, including ultrasonography. She is also passionate about teaching and working closely as a team with primary care doctors to ensure the best outcomes for their patients.
When not caring for pets, Dr. Stikeman is an instrument-rated pilot who is always planning her next flight adventure. She is also a passionate golfer, traveler, and wine enthusiast, receiving her sommelier certification in 2024.
