David Sweeney, DVM, is an Emergency Medicine Veterinarian at MedVet Vancouver. He has been a part of the MedVet team since 2013 and joined the Vancouver hospital in 2023.
Dr. Sweeney earned a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Minnesota.
He is passionate about providing compassionate emergency care for pets. Dr. Sweeney has a special interest in emergency surgery, trauma, and shock. His favorite part of veterinary medicine is forming relationships with clients and their pets and seeing patients leave his care much healthier and happier than when they arrived.
When not caring for sick and injured animals, Dr. David Sweeney enjoys spending time with his family, road and mountain biking, hiking, golfing, attending plays and movies, and traveling.
