Alexandra DeStefano, DVM, is an Emergency Medicine Veterinarian at MedVet Salt Lake City, where she has been contributing since 2024.
Dr. DeStefano earned her Bachelor of Science degree in veterinary and biomedical sciences from Pennsylvania State University before pursuing her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree at St. George’s University School of Veterinary Medicine.
Dr. DeStefano’s passion for veterinary medicine spans all its facets, with special interests in emergency medicine and soft tissue surgery. She enjoys making a difference by helping beloved family pets and building connections with them and their families.
Outside of her professional life, Dr. DeStefano loves hiking, reading, and catching Broadway shows whenever she visits her hometown of New York. She also has a cat named Morris, whom she adopted while in school in Grenada.
