Rachel Metz, DVM, is an Emergency Medicine Veterinarian at MedVet Cleveland. She joined the team in 2024.
Dr. Metz attended the University of Akron, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in biology with a minor in chemistry. She then pursued her veterinary education at The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine, graduating summa cum laude and earning membership in Phi Zeta, the veterinary honor society along with her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree.
While Dr. Metz is interested in all aspects of emergency medicine, her favorite part is making a meaningful impact on her patients and their families. She is honored to assist pets and their families during some of their hardest moments in the emergency room. Most families do not anticipate an emergency room visit, but being a helping hand in those difficult times makes a significant difference.
When not treating patients, Dr. Metz enjoys spending time in nature, including camping and riding horses.
