Jared Shields, DVM, is an Emergency Medicine Veterinarian at MedVet Hilliard, where he has been making significant contributions since 2024.
Dr. Shields earned his Bachelor of Science degree in agriculture, majoring in animal sciences, from The Ohio State University and later completed his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree at The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine.
Dr. Shields’s passion for veterinary medicine encompasses all its facets, with special interests in renal physiology and renal disease, from treating acute conditions to managing chronic kidney disease. He finds the most fulfillment in meeting families and partnering with them to provide care for their pets.
Outside of the hospital, Dr. Shields is a long-distance runner and cyclist who enjoys combining hiking with nature and wildlife photography.
