Abby Schrage, DVM, is a veterinarian residency trained in Internal Medicine at MedVet Indianapolis, where she has been a part of the medical team since 2024. Dr. Schrage attended Purdue University, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science. She continued her education at Purdue University School of Veterinary Medicine, receiving her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree. Following her graduation, she completed a year-long small animal rotating internship at Cornell University Hospital for Animals and a veterinary internal medicine residency at The Animal Medical Center in New York.
While Dr. Schrage is interested in all aspects of veterinary Internal Medicine, she has particular interests in endoscopic procedures, gastroenterology, and immune-mediated disease. One of her favorite parts of practicing veterinary internal medicine is developing relationships with patients and their families to help manage acute and chronic conditions. She is dedicated to helping clients understand their companion’s disease process and treatment options to ensure the best possible wellbeing for their pets.
When not caring for patients, Dr. Schrage enjoys spending time with her husband and two sons, cooking, discovering new dining experiences, and watching documentaries.
