Kayla Townsend, DVM, is an Emergency Medicine Veterinarian at MedVet Northern Utah. She joined the team in 2023.
Dr. Townsend earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Wyoming. She then completed her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree at Washington State University.
Dr. Townsend is fascinated by many areas of veterinary medicine. She has special interests in oncological care, pain management, and soft-tissue surgery. Her favorite part of being a veterinarian is learning from her colleagues and educating owners to provide the best care for their pets.
Outside of our hospital, Dr. Kayla Townsend spends her time baking, cross-stitching, gardening, hiking with her husband and their pet dog, and cuddling with her two pet cats.
