Eric Meyer, DVM, is an Emergency Veterinarian at MedVet Asheville where he has been a part of the team since October 2020.
Dr. Meyer attended Indiana University where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. Prior to starting his career in veterinary medicine, he worked as a chemist in a forensic toxicology lab. He then earned a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine. Prior to joining MedVet, Dr. Meyer worked in general practice for three years in Asheville, NC.
Dr. Eric Meyer has a special interest in clinical pathology and internal medicine. His favorite part of veterinary medicine is that no two patients are ever the same and that there are always new challenges that present great opportunities to learn and continue to grow.
When away from the hospital, Dr. Meyer enjoys gardening, hiking with his two dogs, Montgomery and Apollo, and watching Indiana University basketball.
