Kacey Cohen, DVM is an Emergency Medicine Veterinarian at MedVet Akron where she has been part of the team since 2019.
Dr. Kacey Cohen obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Literature from Bard College and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from The Ohio State University. Dr. Cohen then completed a rotating internship in medicine and surgery at VCA Great Lakes Veterinary Specialists before joining MedVet.
Dr. Cohen maintains an interest in all aspects of emergency medicine and has a particular interest in behavior, internal medicine, toxicology, and palliative and end-of-life care. Dr. Cohen’s favorite part of practicing veterinary medicine is connecting with patients and clients and providing guidance and support when pets need unexpected medical care, and the AHA! moment when clinical history and case diagnostics come together and reveal a definitive diagnosis.
When not treating patients, Dr. Cohen enjoys reading, creative writing, food festivals, wine tastings, and traveling abroad.
